Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on U.S. and Canadian orders over $150. U.S. and Canadian orders ship in 3-7 business days, and international orders take between 12-40 days. All additional customs and duties that may be collected at the border are the sole responsibility of the customer.

This is a stunning crepe. The colours are vibrant on the black background. This fabric was better than expected.

Beautiful Italian viscose crepe

I bought just enough to make a scoop neck short-sleeve shirt from this striking floral on black. Easy to sew. Lots of complements on the fabric itself, and also on it being good for my complexion. There are little white and yellow 4-petal flowers and red and cream roses, and green leaves. I’m very happy with it. The experience of shopping online at Core was great. I have a few other beautiful fabrics to conjure into clothing.
