Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.
Tencel has a tendency to shrink quite a bit, so we suggest washing at least once to remove as much shrinkage before sewing. Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage. Use a medium iron when pressing.

Great for t shirts

This fabric feels absolutely lovely on. It has a very nice drape without being clingy, so I love the shirts I made with it. I will likely get more to make flowy drapey skirts.

Tencel and cotton fabric

I love the hand of this cotton. I can’t wait to sew it up.. I made many pairs of pietra pants and shorts too(. Prob 15 at least) . I recently made your sienna maker jacket. Love it! So many cool details. I need more time to sew less to work! Merry Christmas u rock

the best knit

The fact that I have already made three Sallie jumpsuits and a color blocked dress with the scraps should speak for itself. the fabric is worth the price and I hope more colors come in as this is now my go to knit for projects. I'd love the same knit in prints also.

Butter in fabric form

I am always on the lookout for black knit fabric of quality. I am permanent work from home and my summer uniform are knit dresses. Simple to wear and easy to manage in the heat. I made a Seamwork Lyle dress out of part of this fabric and it is glorious. Beautiful dreamy drape and dreamier to wear. The fabric FEELS super lux, and I will now be living in this sleeveless black dress for the summer. I can't wait to make something else from the part left over. Perhaps a well fitting layering t-shirt. This is my first purchase from Core Fabrics (I've been cheering y'all on, as I've been Core Patterns fan for years), and it will not be the last. I've become more mindful of my fabric purchases having built a decent stash. I consider Core Fabrics when I need something of quality that I do not have. I'll be back!
