Midweight 97% cotton 3% spandex peached stretch canvas in nutmeg, soft brushed hand and fully opaque—ideal for pants, skirts, dresses, overshirts, and light jackets.

A little rugged, a little velvety, this canvas is something quite unique!

Why You’ll Love It: Midweight with a structured, supportive drape, softly brushed peached hand, and warm nutmeg tone with subtle stretch for comfort

How It’s Made: 97% cotton, 3% spandex canvas from Montreal designer Cokluch, peached on one side for a soft, velvety finish; because the delicate brushed finish can be sensitive to heat and abrasion, wash at low temperature, iron on low, and avoid tumble drying to help preserve the soft peached surface

What To Make: Pants, skirts, dresses, overshirts, and light jackets

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

Machine wash in warm water and tumble dry on medium or hot.

Fabric Tips

You can use a hot iron when pressing cotton. You can use sharp point universal needles to sew your projects. We recommend starting your project with a brand new needle.
