Attention lovers of pleats and volume! We are thrilled to introduce our signature crisp cotton poplin exclusively at Core Fabrics, made just for us according to our exact specifications. This is our dream poplin, with a luxurious body and crisp drape that holds it's shape and stands up to pleats, folds, gathers, and volume. It almost reminds us of a cotton taffeta; with every move, it whispers the sweet swish sound of premium craftsmanship, while its smooth, cool touch feels marvellous against the skin. Made from certified organic cotton and dyed with Azo-free dyes, it's not just fabric perfection – it's also made responsibly. Plus, it comes in a stunning array of summery shades – our very own custom palette! Turn it into a structural dress, a crisp button up, a billowy blouse, sharp pants, or a pleated skirt. Fully opaque, it doesn't require a lining.

Made of Certified Organic Cotton

This fabric was made from 100% certified organic cotton and dyed with Azo-free dyes. Our supplier prioritizes sustainability at every step of the fabric production. They employ an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) to ensure that water used in production is thoroughly cleaned, removing both toxic and non-toxic materials. This process allows for the reuse of water or its safe release back into the environment, minimizing harm and supporting a healthier planet.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. You can add half a cup to one cup of vinegar to the final rinse cycle to help set the colours and minimize bleeding. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

Machine wash in warm water and tumble dry on medium or hot.

Fabric Tips

You can use a hot iron when pressing cotton. You can use sharp point universal needles to sew your projects. We recommend starting your project with a brand new needle.
