We're deeply excited to unveil this one-of-a-kind viscose-linen blend! With a slightly rustic, soft hand and an extraordinary drape, this delight of a fabric combines the best qualities of viscose and linen. How so? It drapes like viscose and it's breathable and durable like linen. Easy to care for and with a unique slubby texture, it's a gorgeous choice for your next project. We see this midweight blend as a fantastic Fiona dress, a pair of paperbag waist shorts, a dramatic maxi dress, a pair of flowy culottes, or even a shirtdress. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Long-Term Care

Wash in cool water on the delicate cycle, and line dry or tumble dry on low. Finished garments should be hand washed with cool water to ensure minimal shrinkage.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

Such a wonderful material

All the texture and breathability of linen but it drapes and doesn't wrinkle, viscose style! It is a wonderful fabric and I love the garments I've made from it.

Gorgeous Fabric

This fabric is so soft to the touch with lovely drape. This has to be one of my favourites.

Violet textured viscose linen

This is a beautiful fabric. It has been prewashed and ironed up easily afterwards. Soon to become a summer top.

Textured viscose linen.

It's beautiful, but not right for my project. Actually, TOO drapey and heavy.

Lovely drape and perfect weight

I wanted to make a simple shirt in a longer length for every day wear with my skinny jeans. I sewed this one using the viscose linen fabric. It has a lovely drape and the perfect weight and I get compliments whenever I wear it. I’ll be making more in different colours.
