Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them. It’s important to wash and dry cotton to remove any potential shrinkage down the road.

Long-Term Care

More delicate cottons like voile, double gauze or embroidered cottons should be washed by hand or on the delicate cycle in warm water and tumble dry on medium or hot. Avoid hanging in sunlight for long periods.

Fabric Tips

You can use a hot iron when pressing. We recommend using french seams for sheer and semisheer cotton to enclose the raw edges.

We ship globally! Non Canadian and US orders and orders under 150$ are calculated by weight.

Orders outside of Canada are subject to customs and duties and are the sole responsibility of the customer. Orders to the US under 800$ are duty-free.

Beautiful and Soft

This fabric is really nice and soft. In my opinion, it was more difficult to sew with than other fabrics, but it was worth the (slight) difficulty. The outcome is an outfit that feels so good to wear. The pistachio color is so pretty.

Great fabric.

The fabric is wonderful, washes well and dries well with little shrinkage. Feels great in your hands! Unfortunately for me, the color turned out brighter than I'd like. I should have ordered a sample prior to purchase.
One point I hope may be adjusted in purchases, and that is the measurements are always in 1/2 yard increments. I often find patterns call for 1/8, 1/4 yards. Perhaps 1/4 yard increments can be considered for future. Currently I end up with too much for waste, not enough for clothing.
