We're deeply excited about this one-of-a-kind midweight viscose-linen blend! With a gently textured weave, cozy soft hand, and extraordinary drape, this delight of a fabric is what happens when the best qualities of viscose and linen have a magical baby. How so? Imagine the fluid, heavy drape of viscose combined with the breathability, texture, and heft of linen - the result is your new favourite fabric. Easy to care for and an utter delight to sew, it's a gorgeous choice for your next project. Super-versatile because of its weight, it can work for a wide variety of garments, from flowy trousers to caftans, jumpsuits and shirtdresses. Fully opaque, it does not require a lining.

Care Instructions

Wash

Always pretreat fabric before sewing to remove chemical sizing from the manufacturing process. Pre-washing also gives you a better sense of the true drape and handfeel of a fabric. We recommend washing and drying fabric in the same way you intend to wash your finished garment. Be sure to separate brights and colours, as some dyes and prints may run the first few times you wash them.

Fabric Tips

Use an extra sharp pair of shears or rotary cutter and pattern weights to cut your fabric. Use a medium iron when pressing.

Shipping & Returns

From our studio in beautiful Montreal, Canada, we are delighted to ship to makers worldwide. Shipping is free on U.S. and Canadian orders over $150. U.S. and Canadian orders ship in 3-7 business days, and international orders take between 12-40 days. why Core is my favorite fabric shop

besides the amazing fabric and variety, everything I get is so professionally cut and packaged. For me, having a little tag on each piece, telling me what it is and how to care for it is absolutely amazing and so appreciated.

Such a wonderful material

All the texture and breathability of linen but it drapes and doesn't wrinkle, viscose style! It is a wonderful fabric and I love the garments I've made from it.

Gorgeous Fabric

This fabric is so soft to the touch with lovely drape. This has to be one of my favourites.

Violet textured viscose linen

This is a beautiful fabric. It has been prewashed and ironed up easily afterwards. Soon to become a summer top.

Textured viscose linen.

It's beautiful, but not right for my project. Actually, TOO drapey and heavy.
